TRANSFOND
TRANSFOND is the owner and operator of the
Automated Clearing House (SENT) - an infrastructure of the financial-banking market in Romania. Payments processed through the SENT system include both retail payments in the national currency, such as credit transfers (low-value payment orders, either normal or
instant), direct debits, and debit instruments (checks, promissory notes, and bills of exchange), as well as credit transfers in euros (both national and cross-border).
TRANSFOND also administers and operates
RoPay, the instant mobile payment service that allows direct account-to-account (A2A) transfers from one bank account to another. Available 24/7, including weekends and public holidays, RoPay facilitates the initiation of instant transfers between bank accounts, whether at different banks or within the same bank, without the need for banking details. The service is regulated by the RoPay Scheme, approved by the National Bank of Romania (BNR), and administered by TRANSFOND and the Romanian Banking Association.
