TRANSFOND

TRANSFOND is the owner and operator of the Automated Clearing House for interbank commercial payments – IT infrastructure, under the name SENT. Commercial payments processed by SENT are retail payments or low value payments, initiated by credit transfers, direct debits and debit instruments (cheques, bills of exchange and promissory notes), excluding card payments.

In addition to operating the Automated Clearing House, with a view to diversifying our service portfolio, TRANSFOND has developed comprehensive and state-of-the-art solutions for more and more segments of the domestic financial sector in particular, and for all types of local economic operators in general, as follows:

ABOUT US

At the present time, TRANSFOND is the owner and operator of the interbank payments Automated Clearing House, as well as the electronic invoicing and archiving provider.

The company was established in 2000, in order to modernize and automize the interbank payment system. The Electronic Payment System, which the Automated Clearing House is part of, went live in 2005, and was completed in 2008 with the debit instruments electronic processing.

The infrastructure development continued with the launch, in November 2012, of the credit transfer processing service for payments in domestic currency, in SEPA format. In December 2013 it was followed by the processing of credit transfers in euro, both domestic and cross-boarder.

SERVICES

Starting 2000, the banking community has granted TRANSFOND the role of interbank payments processor, with the main mission to implement the Electronic Payment System which became operational in 2005.

At the present time, TRANSFOND is the owner and operator of the interbank payments Automated Clearing House - SENT, a component of the Electronic Payment System.

In 2008, the system was completed once interbank payments by cheques, promissory notes and bills of exchange entered the virtual space; in 2012, the concern to modernize interbank payment flows materialized in November with the launch of a new application for processing leu-denominated low-value payments in SEPA format.
